I knew the time was coming, but I tried to put it in the back of my mind convinced that if I didn’t think about it I may be able to avoid it altogether. But this year brought it to a head: MIKE AND COLE WENT TO THE FIREWORKS STORE. Mike’s rationale was it was a ‘2 for 1’ sale…….. I’ll just leave it at that. Having his son along for the ride coupled with most of the fireworks were planned to be shown at Bruce’s lake house, who himself has always put on a good firework show, only encouraged Mike to fill the trunk.

We always have a good time at the lake, but this day was extra special at it was Sal’s 88th birthday (Mike’s grandfather)! The family spent the day out by the water with the occasional trip out on the water. Avery and Cole took in tubing behind the pontoon as well as trip on the jet-ski with Mike. Most of the day was spent just hanging out by the water, with water guns in tow, enjoying the day. We capped it off with a slice of birthday cake (see picture of Nikki, Sal, Alex, Mike, Avery and Cole ---------- isn’t Cole a mini Alex?) and fireworks by the water.
