Where the Wild Things Are...

This Spring Break afforded us just a few days from work, so we elected to make a long weekend of it and headed to Atlanta. We made an unexpected visit to Zoo Atlanta and really enjoyed the zoo. We had read about it as it has many unique animals, including Giant Pandas, and is one of the oldest zoos in our nation.

Cole's favorite was feeding the parakeet's (an exhibit that happened to open the day we were there); Avery's favorite was the climbing wall --- about gave me a heart attack.

The trip also introduced the kids to downtown Atlanta complete with a carriage ride, a Southern Food restaurant called Pitty Pat's Porch, a "fancy hotel" (Embassy Suites was full, so we stayed at the Hilton) and room service. They LOVED the views from the room!!
