Christmas is just around the corner and we've been busy getting ready (odd to have to get ready for a holiday that has at its core a message to slow down and enjoy all that God has blessed you with this year).
A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of attending Avery's school Holiday concert. It was very nice and was timed just long enough for the Grandpas and Grandmas to get their snapshots, Moms & Dads to get the video and smaller siblings not to combust from having to sit still AND quiet. There are a few pictures of Avery and some of her classmates....
Last weekend we decorated for Christmas..... inflatables seem to be a big thing around us, I guess because the weather remains decent (as you can see we don't even have coats on). I found a "plump" snowman that was a little different, so we hooked him up along with our outdoor tree. The city's electric company is I'm sure pleased.
I long ago gave up on live plants so I continue to use artificial poinsettias outside on the porch as well as around the tree.... anymore they look so real, plus I don't have to worry about watering them (HA!).
I took some snapshots of some of our holiday decorations.... bells that Mike's Uncle Bruce provided for years, a Santa from Grandma Londt, a Christmas fairy (Avery has the entire collection) and a new sign that I bought this year: Just Be Claus. About sums it up....
Happy Holidays.... see you at the other end of the Christmas Dinner Table soon.
