Dino-mite Week...

We have had a DINO-mite week...

First, my friend Julie was in town. It was great to catch up with her and hear all the adventures she and her family have had since we last saw them, which was when I was pregnant with Cole and we all went to Disney (see prior posts). Mike and I talked how nice the visit was and how we longed to be closer to Indiana (Ugh!).

Later in the week we took the kids to the Walking with the Dinosaurs production. This is one of the coolest things I've seen in years. It is a show with a paleontologist host that guides your through the various dino-ages. As he describes each period LIFE size anamitronic dinosaurs come out. Their movements, features and sounds made you forget their support base as they moved throughout the stage. As you can see, some of them were so tall they nearly reached the top of the civic center.

Avery and Cole both LOVED the show. Cole hasn't stopped talking about it since last Saturday!!!

This weekend we opted for some discounted tickets to the fair. Not quite like Indiana's fairs, but still pretty cool for a 5 year old and 2 year old. We had a good time that was rounded out by a picture with some very friendly sea lions (does anyone know how to get fish smell out of your hair?) and some cotton candy.

Great memories...
