While we were home there was snow on the ground. Avery, Mom and I made a snowman the first night, which was melted by the next afternoon. There was, however, some later in the week snow that gave enough dusting to have some good sledding up at the family farm.

Despite the picture below, Cole enjoyed the sledding. Doesn't he remind you of the kid brother on the Christmas story movie ---- a tick about to pop!! At least we aren't yet potty training.

Taking off at the top of drive gave enough speed to carry you all the way down the lane, assuming you avoided the cement posts!

Just in case!!! The old outhouse has found a new home!
The little, orange truck somes in handy when hauling anxious sledders (and tuckered-out Moms) up to the top of the hill to tackle the terrain again.
Grandma Dorothy stayed inside to fix lunch and a special treat -- hot chocolate from scratch!
