Cooling off...

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend floating in our friends, the Gendusas, pool and munching on the standard BBQ meal --- burgers, dogs, beers (for those not 8 months prego!!). As usual, we had a great time and feel blessed to have friends like Amy and Ed in our lives.

Avery enjoys her dirt dessert, complete with gummie worm! Good thing there was a pool nearby to rinse off all the kids as they all thoroughly enjoyed this cool treat!

The group just escaped the summer shower --- this was a beautiful rainbow we saw on the way back to our home; Avery wanted to know who colored the sky!

"Back Home Again, In Indiana...."

In early May, we made the trip back to Indiana to escape the Florida heat and see our extended families. We had a great time and long for the days when these trips are more common place. (FYI - John's blog has some pictures of the visit too.)

We spent some time with Grandma and Papa, as well as a visit to Great Grandma Dorothy's home!

Patches and Avery bonded over the visit, much to Mike's disappointment (he's a dog lover)!

Uncle John and Aunt Amber were nice enough to drive down just for a weekend visit.
